Callum MacKinnon

Founder & Executive Director

Callum founded bOunceT in 2017, the same year he graduated from GCU and registered with HCPC as an Occupational Therapist. He also has a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Studies.

Callum certified as a Sensory Integration Practitioner in June 2021, with a PGCert (Post Graduate Certificate) from Sheffield Hallam University. In addition to this, Callum continues to study MSc (Post-Reg) Advancing Practice in Occupational Therapy part-time at Queen Margaret University.  

Previously, Callum has worked as a Personal Assistant with ENABLE Scotland & worked 4 different summers abroad in Upstate New York, USA, at a disability summer camp: Camp Loyaltown.

Callum is currently Vice Chair for RCOT SSPLD – the Royal College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section for People with Learning Disabilities.

More recently, Callum acted as Lead Therapist within an NIHR clinical trial, Managing Repetitive Behaviours (MRB) with NHS Lothian and University of Edinburgh.

Fiona Ross

Lead Occupational Therapist (Part-Time)

Fiona is a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist working with us at bOunceT x1 day per week.

She is currently supporting our Occupational Therapy team with implementing new processes and guidelines for our rebound therapy/ therapeutic play sessions – and new services like OT On Call! 

I qualified in 1995 from RGU and have 24 yrs experience working with children and their families. Majority of this time has been within the NHS but had a few years working for a private company in Singapore. I have a special interest in sensory processing & sensory differences.

 

Nadia Maduschke

Occupational Therapist

Nadia recently graduated from GCU as an Occupational Therapist (OT), having completed a variety of placements during her time at university.

Nadia initially worked with bOunceT as an ‘intern’ OT in February 2020, as a Play Resource Officer (PRO) to develop our new product (Meaningful Moments). However, she has since secured a role as an Occupational Therapist for the service working with our ‘fantastic families’.

Julia Wilson

Play Resource Officer (Occupational Therapy Graduate)

Julia is currently working with us remotely, all the way from Canada! She recently graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University as an Occupational Therapist, then was able to secure an internship with us as a Play Resource Officer (PRO). 

This internship was designed to support the Occupational Therapy team develop our first ever product(s) – Meaningful Moments!

Alicia Gibbons

Play Leader

Alicia began working at bOunceT in November 2020 as a Play Leader for our Saturday sessions. She has since started a new role in February 2021 as a full time member of the team supporting bOunceT both as a Play Leader, and a Marketing Assistant!

Alicia graduated from Lynn University in Florida, USA with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology minoring in Elementary/Primary Education in 2019. During her time in the USA, Alicia gained valuable experience working with children from birth to 6 years old in Nurseries and Primary schools – as well as working with her peers who had unique needs in her High School.

Alicia is taking various courses to become a qualified counsellor working with children and young people. She is going to undertake a Master degree in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the University of Edinburgh starting in September 2021. At this time, she will go back to working weekends with our ‘fantastic families’!

Shai Saunders

Marketing, Social Media & Communications Officer

Shai was hired to work at bOunceT in December 2020. He initially graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University shortly before then. 

 

His wide range of marketing & social enterprise experience really influenced him wanting to work with us, as he saw the role we play in the community and our ability to innovate in the Occupational Therapy sector.

Jim Boyle

Fundraising Officer

Jim lives in Ayrshire so is currently working remotely x1 day per week with the bOunceT team! 

Already, Jim is supporting both our Operational & Strategic Leadership Teams to ‘build back better’ from COVID-19 – ensuring we can provide the best support to our families and carers.

Eliza Grier

Service Journey Officer

Eliza will join our Operational Leadership Team at bOunceT in August/September 2021.

Laura Beetschen

Admin Assistant (Finance) ; Part-Time

Laura has been part of bOunceT on and off from the start! Laura has always supported us with some Finance duties – from keeping the books right, to invoicing families, services and other partners!  

Mhairi Lawrence

Admin Assistant (OT Team) ; Part-Time

Mhairi currently works remotely with us at bOunceT! She is a new member of the team, but has high hopes for what she can help us, and the business overall, achieve!

Mhairi will support our Service Journey Officer, and Occupational Therapist’s, with admin duties to make sure all our families and customers are provided with the highest quality of customer service.

Membership Assistant

We are currently recruiting for this position.

 

This role has been made available for 6 months, fixed-term, thanks to funding from the UK Government’s Kickstart Scheme. This is in partnership with Stirling Council Employability Service.

Marketing Assistant

We are currently recruiting for this position.

Elizabeth Brown (Liz)

Cleaner

Liz has been working at bOunceT since January 2021. She has been a key member of staff all through the coronavirus pandemic and various lockdowns. 

Liz typically works with us Mon-Fri evenings between 5.30 – 7.30. She is responsible for not only deep cleaning our office space (and the therapeutic play room when its empty) – Liz is ‘on call’ to let families access our play room for Family & Carer Led Sessions (even after we all finish work at 5.30 and go home!).

Anne

Cleaner

Anne has been working at bOunceT since January 2021. She has been a key member of staff all through the coronavirus pandemic and various lockdowns. 

Anne typically works with us Mon-Fri mornings between 7.30am – 9.30am. She is responsible for deep cleaning our therapeutic play room every morning for our ‘fantastic families’ and carers to come along and have fun with the people they support!
